Biography

Graeme Huddy is the Head of IT at Knysna Municipality having joined in December 2016. Knysna Municipality has an IT user base of approximately 350 users on a Wide Area Network (WAN) spanning 47 locations across the Knysna Municipal area delivering services to a population of approximately 75 000. Graeme is responsible for all IT functions including governance, operations, risk, security and compliance. Graeme has led the implementation of a digital platform at Knysna Municipality using Microsoft Azure to improve communication and service delivery and has gained valuable insights into some of the risks and challenges that may be experienced when embarking on a journey to go digital.

Before joining Knysna Municipality, Graeme worked in the private sector in IT and Information Security consulting and audit roles. Graeme is a member of ISACA and holds ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) designations. In 2018, Graeme was the ISACA South Africa Tichaona Zororo Excellence Award Winner.
