Dates:   13 to 15 September 2010

CISA Review course

 

The ISACA South Africa Chapter is offering CISA and CISM Review Courses to those writing the exam in June 2010.

 

The courses will be offered subject to a minimum of 12 delegates registering per course.

 

CISA training will be offered over the period of six weeks (one class of +/- 3hours per week) – one exam content area is to be discussed per class.

 

CISM training will be offered over the period of five weeks (one class of +/- 3hours per week) – one exam content area is to be discussed per class.

 

The course dates will be as follows:

 

-       Tuesday, 23 March 2010, 17h00 to 20h00+/-

-       Tuesday, 30 March 2010, 17h00 to 20h00+/-

-       Tuesday, 6 April 2010, 17h00 to 20h00+/-

-       Tuesday, 13 April 2010, 17h00 to 20h00+/-

-       Tuesday, 20 April 2010, 17h00 to 20h00+/-

-       Wednesday, 28 April 2010, 17h00 to 20h00+/- (CISA only!)

 

Venue: Ernst & Young, Illovo/Johannesburg

 

Costs involved:

ISACA Members:           R 2,109.00 incl. Vat
Non ISACA members:    R 2,565.00 incl. Vat

 

Registration fees are payable upfront to the start of the course. An invoice will be issued upon receipt of registration.

ISACA South Africa Chapter

 

ISACA® South Africa is a chapter of ISACA, which is an international professional association comprised of individuals interested in Information Systems assurance, governance, and security.

 

Together, ISACA and its affiliated IT Governance Institute lead the information technology control community and serve its practitioners by providing the elements needed by IT professionals in an ever-changing worldwide environment.

 

A major ISACA  strength is its chapter network. ISACA has more than 175 chapters established in over 70 countries worldwide.

 

The South Africa Chapter covers all of South Africa, and meetings are held in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria.

 

Our mission: To promote the Assurance, Security and Governance of information systems locally.

 

The chapter's main objectives are: 

• To promote the education of, and help expand the knowledge and skills of its members in the interrelated fields of auditing, quality assurance, security, IS audit and control, and IT governance.
• To encourage an open exchange of IS audit and control, quality assurance, and security techniques, approaches, and problem solving by its members.
• To promote adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events in IS audit and control, quality assurance, and security fields that can be of benefit to them and their employers.
• To communicate to management, auditors, universities, and to IS professionals the importance of establishing controls necessary to ensure the effective organization and utilization of IT resources.
• To promote the Association’s professional certifications.
